Don't Miss Out
You are a Believer not a Doubter!
More than anything, God wants to be believed. “Without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6).
God’s people in the Old Testament could not receive and enjoy the great things God had for them. The reason they missed out was, “They could not enter in because of unbelief” (Hebrews 3:19). If unbelief is present, God’s blessings can’t be present.
The New Testament reveals that the worst personal sin a Believer can commit, that does not involve other people, is worry. Worry involves focusing your attention on, and believing the opposite of what God has promised and Jesus has provided for you.
Jesus said, “The cares, anxieties, and distractions of this world can dominate your thinking and choke off the word, making the word of God ineffective and unfruitful in your case” (Mark 4:19).
In other words, Jesus was talking about the negative creative power of thinking incorrectly and worrying. Always remember that both faith and fear have creative power. For that reason you must choose to believe what God says over what negative circumstance say.
So dump the negative, stinking thinking, and cast all your cares on the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
