Problems Can't Win Over You
“If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31.) The obvious answer is, “If, or since God is for us, no one can successfully be against us.” The meaning here is that things and even people may come against you, but they can’t prevail over you, because God is for you!
If someone were to ask you who you honestly think you are, what would you say? What would your honest answer be?
Your identity—your perception and view of who you are, determines how much success, wealth, and happiness you will enjoy in life. It’s your identity that affects every relationship you have with others. It even affects how much you can know and receive help from God.
The size of your success in every phase of your life, even your walk with the Lord, is controlled by your self-esteem.
Your results can never out-run, or out produce, your self-esteem. If you pray for something but think of yourself as unworthy and undeserving of God’s blessing, you won’t receive what you prayed for. God wants you to have a king’s-kid mentality, knowing that Jesus made you a child of God.
The level of your self-esteem determines how much you can trust and believe God, and receive answers to your prayers. It even carries over into things like happiness, success, and the amount of money you will allow yourself to have and enjoy. Most people would swear that it’s your education, talent, ability, luck, or the will of God that determines your success, happiness, and prosperity, but NO, it’s your self-image!
As you read your Bible, notice the terms, “in Him, in whom, in Christ, and statements like that. Those terms tell us who we are and what we have now that we are in Jesus.
You are who God says you are. You are perfectly right with God. Receive it and act on it.
