Called and Ordained

Jesus said, “From now on I do not call you servants; for a servant doesn’t know what his master is doing: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard from my Father I have made known unto you. You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatever you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you” (John 15:15-16).

You have been “chosen” by God! You have been specially selected from a multitude for a specific and special purpose. As a jeweler selects or chooses a special diamond, God has chosen you.

God has “ordained” you! You have been specially prepared for a task.

When you read those two verses in context, you have been “chosen” and “ordained” to have mighty answers to your prayers. Jesus said that the fruit you bring forth is, “whatever you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you” (John 15:16). Answered prayer! WOW!

A prince growing up in the palace prepares his entire life for the moment he is to be ordained king. The Lord of Lords and King of Kings, Jesus, has ordained you into a position of authority and rulership. “We are to rule and reign in life as kings with Him” (Romans 5:17, The Amplified Bible).

You need not have a poor self-image or think little of yourself or of your life. You are who God made you to be. You being called, chosen, and ordained was His doing. Your assignment is to walk in that calling and anointing.

God has made you to take the place of Jesus on this earth by doing what you have been called and ordained to do: to help others and have tremendous answers and prayer.
