Be a Self-Encourager
Jesus said, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes” and “nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Mark 9:23; Matthew 17:20).
Oh man, is that ever exciting! You can believe and therefore all things are possible to you. Not just that, “Nothing shall be impossible and to you.” Jesus said so.
An important key and having answers to prayer is implementing the principles of “praise” and “thanksgiving.”
Make your praise and thanksgiving relative to what you have asked God for, and make it a statement of faith instead of unbelief. You can say, “Thank you Lord, I do have faith;” or “Thank you Lord, I have what You promised and what I prayed for!”
Just as easily as you can make a statement of unbelief, only speak words that edify the hearer (Ephesians 4:29). And when you speak, it is not just others that hear you, but you are a hearer of what you say too. So be a self-encourager and only speak words that edify yourself and others.
Get strong in the Word by hearing it, thinking it, speaking it, and praising God for it.
Only speak words that edify!
