Receive Your Independence

I think it’s interesting that when you Google “Independence Day” the very first reference is to a 1996 movie starring Will Smith.

Independence Day for what we now know as the United States of America was when on July 4, 1776, the Continental Congress declared that the 13 American colonies were no longer subject to the monarch of Britain or its laws and taxes.
In Christ, every day is freedom and Independence Day for us. We are no longer subject to the rule of Satan or any of his curses.

Galatians 3:13-14, “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

Colossians 1:13-14, “God has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.”

Romans 8:2 KJV, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”

John 8:36 KJV, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

Thank God that the resurrection of Jesus is our emancipation, liberation, detachment, independence, and freedom from the devil and his curses.
