Blessings or Curses?

Jesus said, “If you shall ask anything in my name, I will do it” (John 14:14).

There can be no failure in Christian life for anyone who taps into the resources of God. It is the duty of every believer to learn what God has promised and amply provides, and then be bold and aggressive in appropriating and attaining the benefits provided.

God has set before us Life or death. Blessing or curses. Excellent health or sickness. Wealth or poverty. Joy and happiness or depression, grief, and sorrow. And God puts the decision as to what we want to experience on us (Deuteronomy 30:19).

God said, “This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob” (Deuteronomy 30:19-20, NIV).

We must choose the infinite resources of God or the lack and limitation that we have been so accustomed to. The choice as to what we ask God for and receive or fail to ask for and do without, is entirely up to us. “Ye have not, because ye ask not” (James 4:2, KJV).

From the above scripture, God basically said we can have what we want in life. For that reason we should confidently lay hold of the abundance provided for us through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Choose life!
