Seek God's Kingdom
Jesus said, “Seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33). Not subtracted or taken-away from you. The Kingdom of God and its interests should be one of the chief subjects for prayer.
Jesus said we should pray to the Father that, “Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). This accepts and agrees with the Father’s Will in all things. It is submission and agreement in prayer to the Will of God, yet at the same time refuses to be denied concerning all that is promised as God’s Will.
We desire and insist upon having the Will of God done on earth, and in our lives, as it is in heaven. Seek first to promote and establish God’s Kingdom and Will on earth, and take advantage of your right-standing with Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). As you believe and “acknowledge Him in all your ways” (Proverbs 3:6), “all these things,” meaning the blessings of life from the previous verses (Matthew 6:25-32), shall be added unto you, not subtracted or taken from you.
You can seek first the Kingdom of God best by being a good role-model to others for God. “You are God’s ambassador for Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:20). Obviously, that means your good character, integrity, love, compassion for others, and fruits of the Spirit must be clearly demonstrated for others to see.
Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
