You Are Blessed
James 1:22, “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
Do you want to build the foundation of your life on a solid rock or on sand? Your job is to act out the part of who God says you are. Jesus addresses this in Matthew 7:24,26.
You build your life on a firm foundation by being a doer of the Word of God and acting on the Word of God.
You become a “doer of the Word” by acting out the Word.”
Here’s the thing… we thought being a doer of the Word meant, “being a good person, don’t cuss, don’t steal, forgive others no matter what, keep the rules and church regulations,” and then we would deserve to be blessed.
But that’s not how God rolls.
The truth is… you are already blessed. Being a doer of the Word is not just doing those elementary good moral things.
Being a doer of the Word is acting like you are who God says you are, and acting like you have what God says you have, and acting like you can do what He said you can do. And acting like you deserve it. Because Jesus made you deserving.
Whether you feel like it or not, do the Word!
