Be Who God Made You to Be

“Thus has the Lord helped me, thus has he delivered me, and he will deliver me from the wicked and save me because I have sought refuge in him” (Psalm 37:40).

I have been encouraging you to “play the part” and act like a winner. I want you to BE what you want to SEE regarding yourself.

Maybe you’ve been playing the part, and acting like a victim, a whiner, or a loser for so long you have embraced that mindset and role.

Maybe you have kind of been like that Elvis impersonator that has played the part of Elvis so long that he actually thinks he is Elvis. But in reality he’s not Elvis—and neither are you a victim or a loser. So stop allowing yourself to continue to act that way!

Maybe you say, “I don't want to be a phony and act victoriously, that’s not who I am.” But think about it! Acting like a loser is you really being a phony because in reality, you are a winner in Christ.

An actor is a person who pretends to be something they’re not. God wants you to act like who He has made you to be, and who you really are. A winner!

Our intention is not to deceive others as we “fake it till we make it” but to purposely re-school ourselves. That is, train and school ourselves in order to change those old harmful thoughts, beliefs, words and actions that have never produced what God promises and we desire.
