You Deserve the Best
“God has saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before the world began” (2 Timothy 1:9 KJV).
We are “called” by God to be elevated to a certain position. A position of Sonship. An heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ. Victorious and blessed in everything we set our hand to. We are people of power, might, and dominion with amazing rights and privileges, now that we are Christians.
That’s the absolute truth the way that God sees us. However, if we view ourself incorrectly, based on our poor behavior or past sins and failures, we will never get ahead in the things of God. In fact, it will be impossible for us to be really happy and succeed because a poor self-image, caused by the failure to understand who God made us to be when He identified us with Christ. A lack of knowledge will always set limitations on our life.
If our desire for anything God promises exceeds the self-imposed limits that our sin and failure consciousness has set up for us, we will find a way to self-sabotage our ability to believe God and get what we want, even when God wants us to have it, and has provided it for us.
Knowing or not knowing who we are in Christ sets up or removes the ceiling of what’s available to us. In practical, everyday life, the fruit of a poor self-image equals the unconscious keeping ourselves from having what we really want.
In practical, everyday life, the fruit of a good self-image and knowing who we are in Christ equals confidence, inner peace, feeling comfortable with ourself, and experiencing a supernatural sense of satisfaction and well-being.
A good self-image contributes largely to receiving from God and obtaining the resources to live the life and lifestyle we desire and God made us deserving of.
As a Christian, you deserve God’s best!
