Your Words, Your Future

As we begin this new year, looking forward to opportunities and changes that will benefit us, it’s super important to have that “Ah ha moment” when you realize that your words go into your future and affect your future in a positive or negative way.

This is such a powerful spiritual truth and has contributed to where you find yourself today. Did you speak optimistic words and the Word of God regularly in the last few years? Or did you complain and gripe and speak negative things such as fear, doubt, and unbelief?

Jesus gives us an eye-opening truth about what will happen in heaven at the awards banquet He has planned for us. In Matthew 12:37, (Living Bible), Jesus said, “Your words now reflect your fate then: either you will be justified by them (your words spoken today and regularly) or you will be condemned.”

WOW! Your words have the power to justify or condemn you. Jesus was talking about what will happen in heaven. What about what will happen today and in the future?

Your words arrive in your future before you do and they start creating blessings or problems depending on the words you have spoken. That’s why it’s essential always to speak faith-filled words that promise a wonderful outcome.

By our words, we seed our future. We will eat the fruit or harvest of the seeds we plant with the words we speak, either good or bad. Proverbs 13:2 says, “A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth.”

So in 2023, put a guard on your mouth and don’t allow negative and complaining words to escape your lips.
