Strength, Ability and Increase

You know that as a Christian, you have amazing strength and abilities.

It’s true. Philippians 4:13 says, “I (you) can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Isaiah 40:31 says, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.”

To “Wait upon the Lord” means to get quiet before Him, read His scriptures of promise, and quietly thank Him for His goodness and what He has promised you. As you do that, His strength is transferred to you.

Additional verses that promise God’s strength are Psalm 18:32, “God girds you with strength," Psalm 19:14, “God is your strength and your redeemer," and Psalm 29:11, "The Lord gives strength to His people and will bless His people with peace.”

In addition to giving you strength and ability, the Lord is increasing you!

Psalm 115:14-15 says, “The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children. You are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth.”

The increase will now come to you in a steady, constant, ever-increasing, uninterrupted flow. Please understand that God doesn’t necessarily reward you the first day you obey Him. Diligent and persistent faith and obedience get God’s attention and places you in His reward system (Hebrews 11:6).

Strength and ability, and increase to you in the mighty name of Jesus!
