Own the Blessings

From Job 22:23-28, which we looked at in last week’s blog, we see eight wonderful promises from God.

1) You shall be built up. 2) You shall lay-up gold as dust. 3) The gold of Ophir shall be as the stones of the brook. 4) The Almighty shall be your defense. 5) You shall have plenty of silver. 6) You shall pray unto Him, and He will hear you. 7) You shall decree a thing, and it shall be established unto you. 8) The light of God’s glory will shine upon your ways.

Since each of those wonderful promises is a part of the blessing God gave to Abraham, you can be assured that those promises are for you! The Bible tells us that one of the reasons Christ redeemed us from the curse was “so that” the blessing of Abraham can come upon us (Galatians 3:13-16).

Don’t ever pull back from receiving and believing a promise from the Psalms, Deuteronomy 28, or any other promise from God that you can find in the Bible and use and benefit from.

Jesus came to fulfill the Law and Prophecies of God’s eternal plan for redeeming the human race. Jesus kept every law and fulfilled every prophecy in the Old Testament and now turns to us and gives us every promise we need to live and overcome life.

All the great promises I listed above from Job 22:23-28 belong to you, and you can have them fulfilled in your life if you believe them.

Consider the great things that are yours from Psalm 18:2: The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. WOW!

I count eight blessings in that one verse alone, and all the promises of God are yours in Jesus Christ.

Rejoice!
