Rule Over Your Problems

Is depression, or any negative, unwanted thing, getting a hold of you?

With God’s favor on your life, His promise is clear: “You shall take them captives whose captives you were, and you shall rule over your oppressors” (Isaiah 14:2).

What’s holding you captive or oppressing you that you need to conquer and rule over? It could be sickness, lack, a strained relationship, a destructive habit, or constant worry. With God’s favor in your life, you can flip the script and rule over anything that is holding you back or holding you captive. 

“For you Lord will bless the righteous; and with favor He will compass you about as with the shield” (Psalm 5:12).

God’s favor in your life is twofold:

1.     It gives you special privileges with God—undeserved, yet fully yours through Christ.

2.     It causes people to be willing to bless you and do you good.

God’s favor is favor with God and man (Luke 2:52).
