The Living Word
God’s Word is your contact with God, and your contract with God.
As we begin this new year I believe it is a new season in your life for something much better than you've ever experienced before. Your relationship with God, based on the Word of God will help determine your success this year. For that reason I want to share a few scriptures with you to encourage you that you’re on the right track when you put the Word first place.
1 Thessalonians 2:13, KJV, “For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.”
Matthew 4:3-4, KJV, “And when the tempter came to Jesus, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
Since Jesus found it necessary to use the Word of God when resisting the devil, how much more should we use and depend on the Mighty Word of God in our daily lives.
2 Timothy 3:16, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God.” The word “inspiration” in the King James Version is translated “God breathed” in other Bible translations.
The same life that God breathed into Adam’s body to give it life (Genesis 2:7), is the same life God breathed into every Scripture, every verse, making God’s Word alive with the life of God.
God’s Word is God breathed!
