Don't Let Fear Rob You
Don’t let fear rob you of the good things in life. Fear activates Satan the same way that faith activates God. Both fear and faith have tremendous creative power. Fear gives substance to the unpleasant things you dread and don’t want, while faith gives substance to the things you hope for and desire (Hebrews 11:1).
“The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect (loyal, GNB; totally committed, MSG) towards Him” (2 Chronicles 16:9). God is looking to bless people. It might as well be you!
This verse tells us God is not just WILLING to help and bless us. He is EAGER to pour His blessings in great profusion upon every believer who makes it possible for Him to do so. God’s “eyes running to and fro” means He is aggressively hunting for opportunities to gratify His heart by showing His love for us, because He “delights in mercy and lovingkindness” (Micah 7:18).
It’s not what God can do that inspires faith. It’s what He has promised to do and has done for us legally through redemption that inspires faith. When we know and believe He yearns to do what He promised we can easily believe Him.
The Bible character, Job, taught us about the creative power of fear when he said, “The thing I greatly feared has come upon me, and that which I didn’t want, is what I received” (Job 3:25).
Fear is the acronym for, “False Evidence Appearing Real.”
