Win With Words

God “neither slumbers nor sleeps” (Psalm 121:4), “but is alert, watching over His Word to perform it to you” (Jeremiah 1:12).

The following scriptures contain a few things God says about the power of your words. Remember, one of the primary reasons for words is for creation, not just communication. You are going to receive and experience what you say. So read the following verses with that in mind.

“You are snared with the words of your mouth, you are taken captive with the words of your mouth” (Proverbs 6:2). 

“…The mouth of the upright will deliver them” (Proverbs 12:6).

“The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble (by the words of his mouth)” (Proverbs 12:13, KJV).

“A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth:” (Proverbs 12:14, KJV). 

“Rash language cuts and maims, but there is healing in the words of the wise” (Proverbs 12:18, TMSG).

“He who guards his lips guards his life, but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin” (Proverbs 13:3, NIV).
