Ask and You Shall Receive

God said, “Call on me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things that you know nothing of” (Jeremiah 33:3).

Most Christians have very few answers to prayer and have accepted the false belief that God doesn’t always answer prayer. Worse yet, is the belief that God sometimes says, “Yes. Sometimes no. Sometimes wait. Sometimes maybe,” in response to your prayers.

But what does the Bible and Jesus say about having your prayers answered?

Jesus said, “Ask, and it shall be given to you… for everyone that asks receives” (Matthew 7:7-8).

Whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do… If you shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it” (John 14:13-14).

“… Ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:7). “Whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you” (John 15:16).

“Whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive” (Matthew 21:22).

The Bible says, “For all the promises of God in him [Jesus] are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us (2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV).

The Message Bible says, “Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus” (2 Corinthians 1:20).

That means God cannot say no to something He has promised, when you meet the conditions.

God said, “Call on me and I will answer you” (Jeremiah 33:3). He further said, “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things” (Romans 8:32), and “All [not some] of the promises of God in him [Jesus Christ] are yea and Amen [Yes, yes, yes! And so be it!]” 2 Corinthians 1:20.

As you can see, God has made many promises not only to hear us but to answer us. Being armed with that knowledge, let’s pray in faith and get God’s help for our world
