You'll Have What You Say

“God's right hand holds me up” (Psalm 63:8).

It is important to understand that one of the primary ways God deals with you is based on what you say.

In fact, the Bible says that Jesus is called “the High Priest of our confession” (Hebrews 3:1). That means Jesus is dealing with us not based on the bloody sacrifices that have been done away with, but on the words we speak.

You might automatically think that God deals with you based on faith; on what you believe. He does. But it’s really important to know that the things you speak regularly are the real things you believe in your heart.

Jesus said, “Out of the abundance of the heart (mind), the mouth speaks” (Luke 6:45). “Whatever is in your heart determines what you say” (Matthew 12:34, NLT). What you say with your mouth is the method of creating what’s in your heart.

Your words, like God’s words, have creative power. Your words contribute to the creation of what’s in your heart, good or bad.

Fill your heart and mind with the Word of God, and speak powerful and creative words when you speak.
