God Will Answer You
The first thing you should know about prayer is God’s attitude toward it. His attitude is revealed in His Word.
Jeremiah 33:3, “Call on me and I will answer you.”
Luke 11:9, “Ask and it shall be given you.”
Matthew 21:22, “All things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.”
Unfortunately, most of our lives seem to be made up of thousands of unanswered prayers. This is contrary to the will of God. God fully intends on you having every prayer answered.
James 4:2b, “You have not, because you ask not.”
If I might take the liberty, let me paraphrase that statement: “You have not, because you do not ask properly.” Jesus said in Luke 11:10, “For everyone that asks receives.” Again, let us add the word properly. “For everyone that asks properly receives.”
What we’re saying is that there are principles that you must apply in order to have effective prayer.
It’s always right to pray the promises of God for all the promises of God are “yes and amen.” (2 Corinthians 1:20).
So build your faith by rehearsing the promises of God. Then pray the promises of God as part of your asking. And pray to the Father in the name of Jesus.
Pray effectively by praying God’s Word!
