Getting God's Results

“All that is in your heart go and do, for the Lord is with you” (2 Samuel 7:3).

If anyone ever had a reason to feel condemnation, it was Peter. If anyone ever had a reason to fear not being accepted by God, it was Peter. He denied Jesus.

Yet, because Jesus demonstrated His unconditional love for Peter, Peter not only overcame his condemnation, but went on to be used mightily throughout the Book of Acts. God wants to use you mightily also, no matter what your past has been.

Jesus said in John 8:29, “And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please Him.”

You might say, “Oh that’s great, Jesus always does those things that please God, but I sure don’t.” Here’s a golden key in Christianity—God treats you as if you had the perfect performance of Jesus. That’s how He sees you.

You get credited with the performance of Jesus and Jesus got credited with your performance and paid the price for it through His death, burial, and resurrection.

Jesus said, “Men ought always to pray, and not to faint” (Luke 18:1). Today many believers are fainting. This tells us that they aren’t praying, or at least praying properly. People who pray properly get results, and therefore they don’t faint.

Betty Crocker’s cake mix stated, “If you’ll use my ingredients and follow my recipe, I’ll guarantee a perfect cake every time.” Jesus guarantees that if you’ll use God’s ingredients and follow His recipe you’ll have perfect results every time.
