You Received God's Anointing

“But the anointing which you have received of him lives in you, and you do not need any man to teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in him” (1 John 2:27).

God has “anointed” you! You have been taken-hold-of by God to live and enjoy the life and blessings God has prepared for you. You are gifted and equipped by God to accomplish something big and important. The anointing abides and lives in you, BIG TIME!

You have been called, chosen, ordained, and anointed to partake of God’s divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). That means you share His life, nature, character, wisdom, resources, and abilities.

Like in the case of Eve, it seems that the devil has lied to us and convinced most of us that in order to be happy, succeed, and thrive, we need something from God that we really already have. You’ve got the life of God in you!

It seems like we are waiting for God to do something He has already done, and that is—approve of us.

Jesus was made sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). The word “righteousness” is usually thought of as “right living.” But the true meaning of righteousness in this context means that we have “perfect right-standing with God.”

“As He (Jesus) is, so are we in this world” (1John 4:17). God sees you as incredible! Start seeing yourself the same way.
