God Is Your Shield

Perhaps Psalm 91 has brought more miracles of protection and safety to men and women in wartime situations and disasters than any other passage of scripture.

Allow the promises in this Psalm to take root in you. Read and reread the verses and affirmation of faith over and over again. Allow the words of this precious Psalm to paint a picture of the Father’s care for you.

Try making an affirmation in the form of praise to God like this:

“Thank you, Heavenly Father, that I am dwelling in the secret place of the Most High. Thank you that no evil shall befall me and no plague can come near my dwelling.

I am abiding under the shadow of the Almighty, Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord that healeth me is my refuge and fortress against disease. His Word is my shield and buckler against sickness.

I am abiding under His wings, and there is healing in His wings (Malachi 4:2). I am not afraid of disease. I am not afraid of sickness. I am abiding under the protective shadow of Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord that heals me.

No plague shall come near my dwelling or my body. I resist all sickness and diseases, and I refuse to accept them. They are not from God and are not mine. I refuse to be sick.

Sickness cannot come near my dwelling. I refuse sickness. I resist sickness. My testimony is I am protected and healed!”

Read the affirmation as many times as it takes for you to believe it. You receive it if you stick with it. That is God’s promise.
