Personalize God's Promises
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1). “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us” (John 1:14).
John 1:1 says that the Word was God. Verse 14 says that the Word was made flesh (and we called His name Jesus).
When you get the revelation that by interacting with the Word of God, you are interacting with Jesus, your life will change. Let the Word loose in you. Let it live in you. Let it dominate you. Let it rule you and then the character of Jesus will come forth through you and you will do the works of Jesus to help others (John 14:12). Like Jesus, you will be moved with compassion and bring salvation and healing and blessings to others.
The Scripture is a useless thing until we pick it up and hide it in our hearts and put it into practice. It is the Word of God that gives you faith, develops your faith, and increases your faith (Romans 10:17), as you make it a part of your life.
You have all the promises of God in your Bible. You have the mighty Holy Spirit dwelling in you, but if you do not personalize and internalize those truths there will be no manifestation of what God promised.
Start today to internalize and personalize the promises you need from God. If you do that, your faith is bound to grow and you will receive what you need from God.
