Pray for Favor and Prosper

The Book of Daniel is about Daniel and his three friends going into captivity. Instead of becoming slaves or being murdered, they soon ruled the country.

After Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego were delivered from the burning fiery furnace, which was their punishment for refusing to bow to the king’s golden idol, they were even further exalted and promoted (Daniel 3:30).

The favor that was on Daniel rubbed off on his friends. As a result of crazy favor, Daniel became the Prime Minister of Babylon, which was the world power of his time. He remained in leadership even during political upheaval and change and thrived under several kings.

When Nebuchadnezzar died, his son Belshazzar was crowned king, and Daniel thrived even further under the new king. In addition to this, “Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian” (Daniel 6:28).
