Grow in Favor
“Esther obtained favor in the sight of all of them that looked upon her” (Esther 2:15).
Today, God wants you to obtain favor with everyone you meet. In fact, 2 Peter 3:18 instructs us to “Grow in grace (favor).”
God commands us to grow in grace and favor for two reasons. First, when God’s favor is upon your life, you grow as a person, leading you to a deeper appreciation of life and God. Second, with God's favor, you become a vessel of honor, more fully equipped for God’s purposes, as stated in 2 Timothy 2:21.
Grace, which means favor, is so important that the Apostle Paul uses the greeting, “Grace (favor) be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,” in the opening verses of 13 of the New Testament books he wrote.
Seventeen New Testament books contain greetings from the Apostles emphasizing grace or favor.
There is a process of growing and maturing in favor that must take place in order for favor to be fully operational in your life.
Progress and development in favor are necessary. Take the initiative and get growing in this dynamic gift from God. Remain completely surrendered to Jesus Christ, making it a constant desire to be in God's perfect will for your life.
“And Saul spoke to Jesse, saying, let David, I pray thee, stand before me, for he has found favor in my sight” (1 Samuel 16:22).
God's favor on your life will cause you to stand before great men, even kings.
Let a life of favor become your way of life!
