Pursue Favor
“And the Lord was with Joseph, and showed him mercy, and gave him favor in the sight of the keepers of the prison” (Genesis 39:21).
Just as God gave favor and wisdom to Joseph in the presence of Pharaoh, the King of Egypt (Acts 7:10), He also gave favor to David in the sight of King Saul. God can give you favor with your spouse, children, boss, and everyone around you.
In Cornelius’s house, the apostle Peter discovered that God was willing to treat the Gentiles with the same love and compassion as He did to the Jews. In Acts 10:34, Peter stated, “Of the truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons.”
Today, because God is no “respecter of persons,” that same favor is available to you. What God did for one, He is willing to do for another. David prayed in Psalm 119:58, “I intreat your favor with my whole heart.” David understood that the favored life was a victory life, so he pursued favor with all his heart.
You can start pursuing favor with all of your heart by boldly making the following affirmation enthusiastically. (Remember the principle: what you affirm, you make firm.)
“Because God is developing favor in my life, limitless possibilities are opening up. There are no restrictions, no limits on the success I will enjoy. As I walk with God, I will accomplish all that He purposes for me. I will have all that God purposes for me to have. All things are mine in Christ Jesus. I have found favor in God’s sight. I am God’s son/daughter, and I walk in His love. I walk in His blessings because I walk in His favor.”
May “the grace (favor) of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all, amen” (Revelation 22:21).
