First Praise, Then Increase

There is a victory principle in the Bible that few are aware of. I refer to it as “First Praise, Then Increase.”

The Bible says, “Let the people praise you O God, let all the people praise you. THEN shall the earth yield her increase and THEN God, even our own God, shall bless us” (Psalm 67:5-6).

Did you catch that? Praise comes before the blessing comes.

The Bible is filled with stories of individuals whose backs were against the wall, having no way out, yet they conquered their problems through the power of praise.

The apostles Paul and Silas praised God even while in prison, and God opened the prison doors for them. King Jehoshaphat and his army praised God when they were greatly outnumbered. God confused the enemy, and the enemy was conquered. God’s people then spoiled the enemy who came to spoil them. Praise is your deliverance, too.

Praise and the Word of God work together to give you victory. Find a verse in the Bible that promises to solve your particular problem. Then, start praising God for intervening and helping you overcome the problem by thanking God for that answer based on His promise.

The great news is you have the truth at your fingertips. It’s your roadmap to victory. It’s your answer to every problem. You have the Bible to explain what to do to win in life.

Get a Bible that’s easy for you to understand. No matter how simple the Bible is, God is big enough to enter into those words to touch and bless your life.

“Now thanks be to God who gives us the victory through Christ Jesus,” (1 Corinthians 15:57).
