Be Your Own Faith Builder
God wants you to be your own faith builder. To do that, it’s very important to speak words that are in line with God’s Word. For example, you could say, “I am a new creation in Christ Jesus” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
What does this mean? It means I was born into God's royal family the moment I received Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I am a child of God. God has created me anew in Christ Jesus. He has put new life into me. I have been born from above, born of the Spirit, born again. I will not run down my life because my life is in Christ. He made me. I am what He made me to be… a new creature. I will not belittle myself.
God’s great news is that I am a Christian and have been granted a new life. My old life is gone. I now live by the power of God in me.
Another great thing to say is, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.” How do you know this? 2 Corinthians 5:21 is one of the great statements, among others, that tells you this fact. You are now righteous in Christ.
What does it mean to be righteous? It means that you possess the divine ability to stand in God’s holy presence without a sense of unworthiness, with no sense of guilt, fear, or shame.
So now you are perfectly complete and accepted in Christ. You are free from that old inferiority complex that once held you captive. Hallelujah.
