Praying and Receiving

It’s time for you to enter into the mighty works of the Lord Jesus. Psalm 71:16, says, “I will enter into the mighty doings of the Lord my God.” That’s for you!

James 5:13, “Is any among you afflicted (suffering hardship)? Let him pray.”

God’s best is when you’re in need, you pray effectively and God meets your need. You personally having prayer results will super-charge your confidence in God.

James 5:14-15, “Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up.” Notice that it’s the prayer of faith that gets the job done.

Only if you feel you need help in prayer, should you call for the elders of the church. And the prayer of faith shall appropriate God’s blessings concerning healing.

The prayer of faith is not limited to just healing.

We could also say the prayer of faith will appropriate the finance to meet the need. Or the prayer of faith will obtain the victory, or any other promise of God. Praying in faith is the key.

Matthew 21:21-22, Jesus said, “If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which was done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. 22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”

God wants you to develop your faith by fellowshipping with him in prayer, Bible study, praise and worship, sharing with other believers, and so forth, so that you’re the one who can pray the prayer of faith, and help others.

If you are suffering hardship, God’s instruction to you is, you pray!
