How Faith Comes
“The blessing of the Lord, it makes you rich, and he has no sorrow with it” (Proverbs 10:22).
There is no such thing as Bible prayer without faith. The only way to ask in faith is to take the time to become persuaded from God’s Word that what you are asking is God’s Will.
It’s not hard to have faith for something when you know that what you’re asking is God’s Will. It’s impossible to have faith for something if you don’t know that God Wills you to have it and is offering it to you. God’s Word IS God’s Will!
God’s Word develops the faith necessary for effective prayer because “faith comes by hearing the Word of God” (Romans 10:17).
That verse is a huge shock to most Christians. Just like the news misinforms us with personal agendas and propaganda, many Christian leaders have told us that tests, and trials, and hardships, and infirmities, and sickness, and troubles are the things God uses to develop our faith. Like much of the news, those who have told us those things are not telling the truth.
God said that faith comes, (develops, increases, and becomes productive) as you hear the Word of God, and do it (Romans 10:17).
Before prayer, be smart by taking the time to find Scriptures that promise you what you are seeking and rehearse them until they produce faith. THEN PRAY.
When you hear what God says, faith comes. When you hear what the devil says, fear comes. Who do you choose to listen to?
Choose to hear, think, and speak God’s Word!
