Passionate Prayer

I trust you are building a desire for more of God and more of His manifestations.

“Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be save” (Romans 10:1).

Paul had a desire that consumed his thought and prayer life: salvation for the lost. Paul’s desire prompted both him and God to action. Paul preached the gospel and God saved the lost.

A man by the name of Epaphras, labored fervently for the Colossians in prayer (Colossians 4:12). He had a strong desire for them. Without desire, there can be no fervent prayer.

James 5:16 says, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” That means a prayer birthed from desire makes much power available.

“The sincere enthusiastic prayer that springs from a deep desire makes tremendous power available” (GC paraphrase).

The apostle James talks about prayer being fervent. Fervent means, glowing hot, enthusiastic, intense, burning, passion.

Better results will be yours when you pray with a glowing hot passion!
