God's Precious Thoughts of You
We must realize that God and His Word are inseparable. They are One. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God” (John 1:1). When you get God’s Word involved in your life, you get God involved in your life.
Embrace this principle now! “When you get the Word of God involved in your life, you get God involved with your life.”
In addition to our own harsh and critical judgments of ourselves, part of what has contributed to a poor self-image has been the accumulated put-downs and criticisms that we’ve received from others and stored up inside of us as children.
The mean and cutting laughter, put-downs, and denunciation of others has helped fuel the less-than-healthy view we may have of ourselves. As children, we were particularly vulnerable to accepting and believing negative judgments from authority figures and older children because we had not yet developed understanding and competency in the area of evaluating such put-downs. We simply thought, “Hey, they’re older, they know better than me.”
The Bible says, “How precious are your thoughts of me O God! How great is the sum of them. If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand on the seashore” (Psalm 139:17-18).
Since God only thinks good thoughts about you all the time, you must also only think good thoughts about yourself too.
You are an earthshaking, history making, mountain moving, problem stomping, water walking champion in God’s sight!
