God Fathered Us
Jesus said, “whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you” (John 16:23).
What a great promise! We should take possession of what Jesus said immediately.
James 1:18, “Of God’s own will he begat us, (he fathered us, he brought us forth) by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures” (Moffat).
1 Peter 1:23, “Having been begotten (fathered by God) not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, who lives and abides forever.”
The Word of God imparts to us eternal life. The Word of God qualifies us and enables us to be partakers of God’s divine nature (2 Peter 1:4).
Jesus said, “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you will ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:7).
The words of Jesus dwell in us, producing prayer fruit. The fruit is answered prayer. The Word that abides in you produces prayer fruit. Answers. Power. It is the Word bringing forth answers and solutions after its own kind—producing after its own kind like a seed in the believer’s life.
Get filled with the words of Jesus and start having more and more great answers to your prayers.
