God's Favor Compasses You
Psalm 5:12, “With favor God will compass you as with a shield.”
To deepen our awareness of God’s favor in our lives, I want to take a portion of Psalm 5 and add it at the end of various scriptures.
The verse I will share to make my point is Psalm 5:12, “For you, Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor you will compass him as with a shield.” I will use the last part of this verse: “With favor you will compass him as with a shield.”
Let’s begin!
Psalm 9:1, “I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the wonderful things you have done.” Why? Because with favor, God compasses me as with a shield.
Psalm 9:3, “My enemies turn back when you appear; they fall down and die.” Why? Because with favor, God compasses me as with a shield.
Psalm 13:5, “I rely on your constant love; I will be glad, because you will rescue me.” Why will He rescue me? Because with favor, God compasses me as with a shield.
Psalm 13:6, “I will sing to you, O LORD, because you have been good to me.” Why has the Lord been good to me? Because with favor, God compasses me as with a shield.
Psalm 18:16, “The LORD reached down from above and took hold of me; he pulled me out of the deep waters.” Why did He do that? Because with favor, God compasses me as with a shield.
Psalm 18:17, “He rescued me from my powerful enemies and from all those who hate me—they were too strong for me.” Why did He help me? Because with favor, God compasses me as with a shield.
Do you get it?
