The Benefits of Favor

Psalm 5:12 says, “With favor God will compass you about as with a shield.” Let’s look at how this great Psalm can manifest in your life.

Have you ever asked yourself why God protected you from something bad? It’s because with favor, God compasses you as with a shield.

Psalm 18:19, “He helped me out of danger; he saved me…” Why did the Lord help you out of danger and save you? It’s because, with favor, God compasses you as with a shield.

Psalm 10:18, “You will hear the cries of the oppressed and the orphans; you will judge in their favor, so that mortal men may cause terror no more.” Why does God hear your cries and then judge in your favor? Because with favor, God compasses you as with a shield.

Psalm 30:1, “I praise you, LORD, because you have saved me and kept my enemies from gloating over me.” Why did God deliver you from your enemies? Because with favor, God compasses you as with a shield.

Psalm 30:2, “I cried to you for help, O LORD my God, and you healed me;” Do you want to know why God healed you? Because with favor, God compasses you as with a shield.

Psalm 30:3, “You kept me from the grave. I was on my way to the depths below, but you restored my life.” When you were sinking fast, why do you think God rescued you? Because with favor, God compasses you as with a shield.

Psalm 30:11, “You have changed my sadness into a joyful dance; you have taken away my sorrow and surrounded me with joy.” Why did God take away your sorrows and now surround you with joy? Because with favor, God compasses you as with a shield.
